Painting Reframing Project (May 2024)
Mitigation of insufficiently protective framing resulting in better preservation of the artwork and an improved framing job.

After removal from frame. Note the uneven edges of brittle board, which make up the secondary support.
Marvelseal added to the frame rabbet. Note the uneven shape of the rectangle in which the painting sits.

After framing. Lignin-free backing board behind the artwork is held in by improved framing hardware.
